Decision Taken:

To extend the following current DCC insurance policies for a period of two years:

Insurance – Company
Employers Liability – QBE (RMP)
Public Liability – QBE (RMP)
Professional Indemnity – QBE (RMP)
Officials Indemnity – QBE (RMP)
Libel & Slander – QBE (RMP)
Group Personal Accident & Business Travel – AIG
Material Damage Package (Property) – Zurich Municipal
Motor Fleet – damage to own vehicle – QBE (RMP)
Motor Fleet – liability to third parties – QBE (RMP)
Fidelity Guarantee (fraud by employee) – QBE (RMP)
Engineering Inspection & Insurance – Zurich Municipal
Contract Works – Royal & Sun Alliance
Devon Audit Partnership – QBE (RMP)

Summary of Reason(s) for Decision Taken:

An options appraisal was carried out and extending the insurance policies was agreed to be the most suitable option at the present time.

Summary of Alternatives or Options considered and rejected:

The following options were considered:
– Extend the insurance policies for two years as from 1st January 2016
– Re-tender for new insurance policies
– Join onto the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) Insurance Services framework
– Direct call-off

There are no conflicts of interest in relation to the insurance policies being extended.
