The Heel Pad is designed to reduce the all too common problem of pressure on the heels where, although the contact area is small, the interface pressures are high.Designed with two gel sacs to accommodate the heels. Pressure can be reduced to as low as 46mm HG, providing that the heels remain in contact with the sacs. When used in conjunction with the Odstock Wedge, pressures can be reduced to as low as 24mm HG (2).

    • Reduce the Risk by reviewing posture when seated or lying down
    • Reduce the risk by improving or facilitating mobility, transfers and movement.

For further advice about posture and support when seated or lying down contact your local therapy team or the ILC ilc-exeter@devon.gov.uk.

warning exclamation markThe cushion must be the right size to cover the whole seat surface. Gaps or overlaps will increase risk of skin damage.

warning exclamation markLoose cushions should not be used on rise and recline chairs without a risk assessment
