Upton Pyne self help works

Upton Pyne self help - sign cleaning

The Parish of Upton Pyne are actively carrying out self help works to keep their area looking good. They currently:

  • Employ a contractor to clear drains and ditches, supplementary to the work done by DCC
  • Engage with landowners where run-off is onto private land
  • Employ a contractor for verge plowing
  • Organise sign cleaning by volunteers
  • Use contractors to do hedge trimming and clearing debris

They are very active in responding to highway issues in their parish and are interested in joining the Road Warden scheme to widen the tasks they are able to carry out locally.
