Working to improve services for older people
Devon County Council is investing £11.2million to improve its care homes including developing some homes as Centres of Excellence for people with dementia.
The County Council currently runs 23 care homes, aiming to provide residents with a secure, relaxed and homely environment in which their care, well-being and comfort are of prime importance.
The development of the Centres of Excellence will play a critical role in modernising the provision of long term and respite care facilities. They will also provide a hub for out-reach services to their local communities.
