This ‘beta’ label means you’re looking at the first version of a new service or web page.
We regularly launch new or redesigned websites. During the beta phase these sites are continually tested and improved.
The beta label is displayed on a new website to show it’s being tested – it may not work for everyone or may sections with limited content.
Redesigned websites should be easier to use than the ones they replace.
Sometimes a beta website will be available at the same time as an older, existing website – you can choose which one to use.
Successful beta websites eventually become ‘live’ and replace any older version that perform the same task.
