Reminder – Bridge Road overnight closure on Monday 5 June

The road will be closed from 8:30pm and will be re-opened by 5:30am the following day.  The overnight closure is to enable footpath surfacing to take place.

The diversion route will be signed via Topsham Road, Alphington Road, Marsh Barton and the A379 and route details are available here.

Details of changes to Stagecoach bus services will be available at https://www.stagecoachbus.com/regional-service-updates/south-west/greater-exeter

Access through Bridge Road will be maintained for pedestrians and cyclists during the closure using temporary footpath/cyclepaths, but people are asked to take care and follow instructions from the site staff.

For the section from Matford roundabout through to the Canal, there will be a temporary path established on the eastern side of the road to keep pedestrians away from the work areas.  For the section immediately north of the Canal, pedestrians and cyclists will need to use a very short diversion around the Canal cyclepaths to avoid work areas whilst they are prepared and surfaced.  North of the SWW Treatment Works entrance, pedestrian and cycle paths will remain as present.

Keep up to date via the Bridge Road Widening Scheme website where you can sign up for alerts.
