What happens if I have to cancel a course booking
What happens if I can’t make a session?
If you are unable to make a session, please let the tutor or centre staff know by email or phone. Although we will be unable to provide a follow on session, our dedicated tutors will ensure that you are kept up to date with your course.
What happens if my course is cancelled?
If your course is cancelled you will be offered a transfer to another course (the difference in course cost must be paid / will be refunded as appropriate) .
If no course is available or you do not wish to attend an alternative course, you will receive a refund of your fees as follows:
You should expect a refund of your fees within 14 working days of the cancellation date of your course.
Why has my course been cancelled?
Although Devon Adult and Community Learning intend to run all our courses, on occasion we may have reason to cancel them. This may be caused by low enrolment numbers, which makes the course financially unviable or by tutor availability – where a tutor, for unforeseen circumstances, has to withdraw from teaching the course.
What happens if my a session of my course is cancelled?
In the event that a course session is cancelled we will arrange for a further session to take place at a date organised between the tutor, staff and learners.
Why has a session of my course been cancelled?
On occasion, due to unforeseen circumstances we may have to cancel a course session. This may be due to staff illness or severe weather etc. If, for any reason, a course session is cancelled, we will contact you by text message or phone to let you know.
