2014/15 3,527 young carers known to the young carers service.

2016/17 3,108 young carers known to the young carers service in Devon.
2017/18 3,131 young carers known to the young carers service in Devon.
This year to date. As at September 2018, 3115 young carers were identified in Devon.

Devon County Council externally commission and have awarded a contract for the delivery and provision of a Young Carers Service to operate within the geographical areas covered by Devon County Council.
3) Details of how much was spent on support for young carers in ‘
2008/09 It is not possible to provide data for this period. Retention periods have lapsed.  Information is, therefore, not held.
2009/10 From 1st April 2009 to March 2011, Devon County Council commissioned a Young Carers Service to the value of £257,566 per annum.

From 2011 to April 2018 Devon County Council (DCC) commissioned Young Carers Services to the value of £250,000 per annum.
