Time and attendance system software

How many of your staff work “Flexi-time” or similar?

All members of staff can work flexitime in line with Devon County Council’s Policy on Flexible Working. The total number of staff is available on the HR dashboard

How many of your staff work shift work?

Devon County Council does not record this information in a manner that can be easily collated.  We record contracted hours and not actual shift patterns centrally. This information is held at a local service level however, to provide an answer, we would have to undertake a manual interrogation of each staff record.  We estimate that to carry out this exercise per individual staff record would take more than 5 minutes.  Therefore, to conclude this exercise for all 4,360 staff members would take over 18 hours to complete.

Under the Freedom of Information and Data Protection (Appropriate Limit and Fees) Regulations 2004 public authorities are not obliged to comply with requests which exceed the cost limit of £450 (equating to 18 hours of time).  For this reason we believe that Section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act applies (cost of compliance exceeds the appropriate limits).

What is the name of software (s) used to manage “Flexi-time” & shift working staff?

Flexi time is not managed by a system but is recorded locally using a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. Therefore, we do not hold this information
