Please could you tell me the total amount paid out in compensation by the council (or its insurers) for historic sexual abuse cases since November 2011?

Also where possible, please break down the figures to show the years to which the offences relate.
Devon County Council can confirm that a total of £191,583 has been paid in compensation for historic sexual abuse cases since the 1st November 2011.
To provide a detailed breakdown showing the value of individual payments and the years to which they relate would risk identifying the claimants. An identification of the individual claimants would be a disclosure of their personal data and a breach of s.35 of the Data Protection Act 2018. This information is therefore exempt from disclosure pursuant to s.40(2) of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
By way of advice and assistance we can confirm that there has been a total of 7 payments made since November 2011.
