Methodology:
Forecast data for Years 1-6 (Primary) & Years 8-11 (Secondary), based on existing cohorts as per Spring 17 School Census (academic years rolled forward by 1 NCY).
Forecast data for Years R and 7, based on Admission Allocations (2 options: Allocations Day & updated snapshot 14.8.2017).
For Junior Schools only – Forecast data for Year 3, based on Admission Allocations (snapshot 14.8.2017).
For Secondary Schools with Years 12 & 13 only – Forecast data for Years 12-13, based on DfE SCAP Return 2017. NOTE: Where these schools share a planning area – the forecasts have been split by historical ratio: (based on a 2 year average – Spring 16/17 School Census NOR).#
Forecasts are calculated from admissions allocations, school censuses and statutory returns to the Department For Education, plus snapshot figures taken on selected dates.
