Nethercott Place, Heavitree – Ownership

Request:

Re: Nethercott place, Heavitree, EX1 2TT – Please refer to drawing here.

“Is the greyed out area within the purple circle privately owned or public property please? And are there any special parking restrictions beyond requiring a residential parking permit with the council for example?”

Response:

Devon County Council can confirm that it does not own any land in the vicinity of Nethercott Place.

Please see here an extract from the County Council’s Highway Record.  According to our records the roads coloured brown on this plan are recorded as highway maintainable at public expense.  Generally, the parking spaces on a development like this would belong to the properties, they might have one or two each included on their Title Documents held by the Land Registry.  Your landlord could own the parking spaces, Land Registry would be able to provide this information.

Resident permits can be used on any of the roads in the S2 zone, but if the parking spaces are privately owned, the permits may not be valid in them.  The Council would not ask Enforcement Officers to enforce those spaces.
