Funding for Mycoplasma Genitalium (MG) Testing

Freedom of Information Request: Mapping the Level of Funding for Mycoplasma Genitalium (MG) Testing

I am writing on behalf of the British Association for Sexual Health and HIV (BASHH), the UK’s leading organisation dealing with all aspects of sexual health care, setting standards and aiming to champion and promote good sexual health

As part of our ongoing commitment to improving the diagnosis and ongoing management of a sexually transmitted infection called Mycoplasma genitalium (MG), BASHH is conducting an investigation to ascertain the levels of funding around available for MG testing and the extent to which it is being prioritised across the country. Studies have shown that the effective diagnosis of MG avoids inappropriate or sub-optimal treatment which can lead to antibiotic resistance.

I would therefore be grateful if you could provide the following information by completing the attached document.
