Food standard sampling

I am writing to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act from the Council.

QUESTION 1
1) Can you please provide the amount of money your authority spent annually on food standard sampling between 2010 and 2018?

We have compiled the following from information that we hold. Different methods of recording and coding financial information have applied over the time period requested, but to the best of our knowledge this information is correct. For corroboration of monies administered by them, you may wish to contact the Food Standards Agency, who as a public body are covered by the Freedom of Information Act. For comparative purposes you should be aware that Devon County Council provided its own Trading Standards Service prior to May 2013 and then provided the Devon and Somerset Trading Standards Service and therefore data for Somerset prior to that month is not included. In May 2017 the Devon and Somerset Service became the Devon, Somerset and Torbay Trading Standards Service and therefore data for Torbay prior to that month is not included.
