This data uses a snapshot of patients delayed on the last Thursday of each month and a total count of delayed days for the entire month. The delayed day’s data is therefore not comparable with the number of patient’s data.

The data does not contain any person IDs and shows numbers aggregated by reason for delay and by the attributable body (NHS, Social Care or Both). Data on age groups would have to be obtained from the individual NHS Trusts who provided data for delayed patients for the snapshot in March 2017
