I am writing to you with regard to your authority’s response to a recent FOI request on fees paid to independent sector care homes.
Because of a concerning frequency of anomalies (in some cases, greater than 10% differences compared with the previous year’s figures) we are undergoing a data validation process across all councils with adult social services responsibilities, to confirm that the figures provided are correct and comparable.
Would you please review the information your authority provided and either confirm the values are correct or amend them as necessary?
We confirm that the values are correct. The Council changed our fee model in June 2018 which has had an impact on average fees paid.
