You can apply to Devon Registration Service to register a room or rooms in your property to be approved under the Marriage Act 1994 and the Civil Partnership Act 2004.
Before you start
A new licence will cost £2000 and is valid for three years. A renewal of a licence currently costs £1500.
Please ensure you have read and understood the guidance notes.
Your proposed venue must be a permanent structure and it should not have any religious connections, all civil marriage and civil partnership ceremonies are secular rather than religious.
What happens next
After you have submitted your application the property is inspected by a member of the service.
Provided that there are no objections following a period of public consultation (listed on our website), a licence for three years will be issued.
